Audience profile

. This is an image board relating to my target audience, I have made it based on the typical indie/ rock fan and things they like, including films, food, bands, anything related to them I have included so I have a clearer picture of the people I am to aim my video and album and advert at. My profile including things like festivals, in particular Glastonbury and Reading, bands like Kasabian and Noel Gallagher.

Copyright Letter

. This is the copyright letter I have written to seek permission to use my chosen song, the letter will be sent to both Island Records and Universal Music. Because if copyright issues it is important I gain this permission otherwise in completion my video could be taken down from YouTube.

Music video brain storm

. This is my music video pitch board, it has all my original ideas on location, mise-en-scene and costume and thanks to the programme used I have been able to show how each of these ideas has developed and how I came to my final decision regarding each point. There is also an image board with visuals of my final idea to show what I am trying to create.

ANALYSIS- Video Deconstruction
This task has been useful, as it has provided me
with the regular codes and conventions noticeable within the Indie/Rock genre
that my music video is based upon. For example from the Tribes video I have
taken ideas to use in shots where it will be a live performance, the shots of
audience and band. From the Young Knives I have taken ideas about the focus on
the narrative of the song I have chosen to do, this will help me to develop my
own visual narrative to accompany the Lyrics and come together to create my
video.

Lyric Deconstruction

Deconstruction:
These lyrics are centred around the idea of loss of childhood, this is shown in the title, We Were Children.
The song refelcets upon childhood moments or things associated with Children. Lines such as "Stood throwing ice cream in your hair" shows us childsplay, not something adults would do, this line will be shown visually in my video.
I hope to use lines such as "Regret the most leaving you standing there to ilustrate my take on the song talking about loss of childhood, by showing it visually, as someone on there own.

This is my second draft for my advert, I have changed it from having the same picture as the album cover to a picture of the band, the shot I have used is found from the Internet and is in the same style I will be having mine, it does not look highly edited or staged, its plain and simple and just shows the band as they are. This is something I am going to try to create when I do my advert image. I have also changed the advert from advertising the band by using reviews to the advert promoting a tour.

Directors Pitch

Idea for video: I will be creating a video based on performance of the band, sticking to codes and conventions these performance shots will be close ups of instruments, singer and. The band playing together. I will also be adding in concept to this video, the idea for this section comes from the idea if the song, 'We Were Children' the past childhood, so I will use shots of child related things, parks, old bikes.

Intertextual: no Intertextual references to be seen in my video.

Location: I will be filming in a forest clearing, I have chosen this location as I think it can link with the song idea, children like forests, it's an adventure to them, so I will be using it as a link to the title and concept. Also the fact that it is an empty forest the attention will not be on the surroundings but on the band instead.
